The Shelter Assistants (two positions) will support the activities of the front-line shelter team, to guide YES residents in acquiring for themselves access to supports, including housing and employment, education, social assistance benefits, and skills for daily life. 30 hours/week for 8 weeks Monday, May 14th – Friday, July 6th, 2018 & Monday, July 9th – Friday, August 31st, 2018 – both with a possibility of extension. The Maintenance Assistant will work to maintain the function and cleanliness of YES’ three buildings including cleaning, lawn maintenance, surface repair, and painting. The Maintenance Assistant may work with groups of volunteers and the maintenance lead to accomplish larger tasks. 30 hours/week for 8 weeks, July 3rd – August 27th, 2018 – possibility of extension.
