In From The Cold Returns for Its 26th Year of Holiday Magic

Posted on November 10, 2025 in Event

The holiday season is extra special once again as In From The Cold celebrates its 26th anniversary with two unforgettable performances of festive music at the Market Hall Performing Arts Centre – Friday, December 5th at 7:30 PM and a new Saturday matinee on December 6th at 2:00 PM.

This annual Christmas benefit concert has become a cherished Peterborough tradition, uniting local musicians and the community to raise vital funds for YES Shelter for Youth and Families.

For more than a quarter-century, In From The Cold has delighted audiences with holiday music you won’t hear anywhere else. Each year brings a fresh collection of traditional and contemporary Christmas and winter songs, performed by exceptional local talent.

This year’s lineup features:

  • Carried Away, an acoustic string and vocal band known for their rich harmonies and creative arrangements of seasonal favourites.
  • Convivio Chorus, a dynamic choral ensemble whose performances fill the hall with warmth and joy.
  • The Claveer Cousins, bringing their lively, heartfelt energy to the stage.
  • Special guest Benj Rowland, a celebrated local singer-songwriter whose distinct voice and storytelling will add something truly special to this year’s concert.

Reflecting on the milestone, John Hoffman, founder of In From The Cold, shares:

“I’m just so happy that, 26 years later, our performers still want to do the show and that people still want to come and share our musical experience and support YES together. Each year, when I walk out on that stage, I feel like a kid again — discovering new, beautiful music to perform keeps me feeling young.”

This year, the Saturday performance will be a matinee that begins at 2:00 PM, allowing an option for those who have a longer drive. All proceeds from In From The Cold directly support the YES Shelter for Youth and Families, helping to provide safe shelter, support, and hope for youth and families experiencing homelessness in our community.

Tickets start at just $29 and are available now through the Market Hall Performing Arts Centre. Don’t miss this heartwarming and memorable way to celebrate the season – and support a cause that makes a lasting difference.
